Rummy rules and how to play
The standard rules of 13-card Indian rummy and its variants, plus the other games rummy and Yono apps bundle. Each app may change details, so check its own rules screen.
13-card rummy
- Each player gets 13 cards from two decks with jokers.
- Arrange all 13 into sequences and sets. You need at least two sequences, and one must be pure, with no joker.
- On each turn you draw one card and discard one. The first valid hand to be shown wins, and everyone else counts their unmatched cards.
Points Rummy
- One deal decides the game.
- The winner scores zero. Other players count unmatched cards, up to 80 points.
- Face cards and aces count 10. Number cards count their value.
Pool Rummy
- Played over several deals, with a score limit of 101 or 201.
- Your unmatched points add up after each deal.
- Reach the limit and you're out. The last player left wins.
Deals Rummy
- Played over a set number of deals, often two or three.
- Everyone starts with the same chips, and each deal's losers pass chips to the winner.
- The player with the most chips after the last deal wins.
Teen Patti
- Each player gets three cards.
- From highest to lowest, hands rank as trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair and high card.
- Players can play blind or look at their cards, and the best hand left at the end wins.
Andar Bahar
- One card is turned face up in the middle.
- Cards are dealt in turn to two sides, Andar and Bahar.
- The side that receives a card of matching rank first wins. This is pure chance.
Dragon vs Tiger
- One card goes to each side, Dragon and Tiger.
- The higher card wins, and a tie is a separate outcome.
- Each round takes seconds and is pure chance.
Slots
- You spin a set of reels.
- Software picks the result at random.
- Wins depend on the symbols that land. No skill changes the outcome.
Aviator-style crash
- A multiplier climbs from 1x.
- It stops at a random moment.
- You must exit before it stops. Waiting longer raises the win and the risk, and no pattern predicts the stop.
Bingo
- Each player has a card of numbers.
- Numbers are called at random and marked off.
- The first to finish a set pattern wins.
Ludo
- Each player moves four tokens around the board by dice roll.
- Landing on an opponent sends their token home.
- The first to bring all four tokens home wins.
Poker
- Players build the best five-card hand.
- Betting rounds run between the cards being dealt.
- The best hand or the last player left takes the pot.
Roulette
- A ball lands on one numbered pocket of a spinning wheel.
- Outcomes are pure chance.
- Players choose numbers or groups of numbers before the spin.
Card values
Ace, King, Queen and Jack count 10 points. Number cards count their face value. Jokers count zero. In points rummy a losing hand is capped at 80.
